Chandigarh, July 28, 2021
The Union Government has appointed Praveer Ranjan IPS as the new DGP of UT Chandigarh.
Ranjan, a 1993 batch IPS will be the new DGP of Chandigarh from the date of assumption of charge of the post till further orders.
He will be replacing 1989n batch IPS officer Sanjay Bainiwal.
Ranjan was serving as Special Commissioner of Police, Delhi till now.
