Spiritual Journey of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Presented at Patiala Gurdwara

State Information Commissioner Punjab Harpreet Sandhu today paid tributes to Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib by placing his authored book, “Spiritual Journey of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib”, at Gurdwara Dukh Niwaran Sahib, Patiala. The book is dedicated to the 350th Martyrdom Year of the ninth Sikh Guru.
The book, which depicts the holy shrines associated with Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib during his lifetime, was earlier released by Punjab Governor Sh. Gulab Chand Kataria at Raj Bhawan, Chandigarh, on July 22, 2025. It also carries a brief description and photograph of Gurdwara Dukh Niwaran Sahib.
Head Granthi Giani Parnam Singh appreciated Harpreet Sandhu’s efforts in compiling the book at such a significant time, describing it as a pious tribute to the unparalleled legacy of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib, revered as Hind Di Chadar for his supreme sacrifice in defense of religious freedom and human dignity. He termed the work a noble endeavour that would spread the Guru’s divine message of peace, harmony, and sacrifice across Punjab and beyond.
The preface and foreword of the book have been written by Prof. Pritam Singh, Emeritus Professor, Oxford Brookes University, UK, with acknowledgments by Padma Shri Bhai Harjinder Singh (Srinagar Wale). The book also carries messages from Punjab Governor Sh. Gulab Chand Kataria, SGPC President S. Harjinder Singh Dhami, and Guru Nanak Dev University Vice Chancellor Dr. Karamjeet Singh, who described it as a meaningful contribution reflecting the divine journey, inspirational life, and enduring values of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib.
On the occasion, Gurdwara Dukh Niwaran Sahib Manager Bhag Singh Rajpura, Aman Sandhu, and Supervisor Mandeep Singh were also present.
