40% cabinet so far contacted positive

Speaker of HP Vidhan Sabha Vipin Singh Parmar and Dr Ramlal Markanda, Minister of Information Technology and Tribal Welfare have been tested positive for nCorona Virus on Wednesday.
Till now, more than 40 percent of the cabinet in the state habeen infected.
Dr Ram Lal was also part of the Atal Tunnel, Rohtang opening ceremony on Oct 3 last from where other cabinet ministers and government officials Including Chief Minister, MLA Surinder Shourie, Principal Secretary and Advisor to Chief Minister RN Batta and Public Relation Department officials were tested positive.
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur was tested positive for the COVID-19 on Monday and currently is in isolation. He tweeted for the confirmation of Dr Markanda’s positive tested COVID-19 and said that it is a matter of concern. Thakur also wished him an early recovery.
Banjar MLA Surender Shourie was tested positive on Oct 2. On October 6, Thakur’s principal private secretary RN Batta also tested positive for the virus and the on October 7, Urban Development Minister Suresh Bhardwaj was also tested positive and Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur tested positive on October 12.
Earlier to this IPH Minister Mohinder Singh Thakur, Power Minister Sukh Ram Chaudhary was also tested positive for COVID.
BJP’s Rajaya Sabha member Indu Goswamy, BJP MLA from Doon Paramjeet Pami, BJP MLAs from Indora Aneeta Dhiman and from Sundernagar Rakesh Jamwal also contracted by the virus in the state.
The total tally of COVID-19 positive cases in Himachal Pradesh currently stands at 17,800 including 2,500 active cases, 14,900 recoveries and 250 deaths.
Dalai Lama wishes CM speedy recovery
SHIMLA: His Holiness the Dalai Lama has wished a speedy recovery to the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, who is in home quarantine after being tested positive for Covid-19.
In a letter written to the Chief Minister, His Holiness the Dalai Lama said, “I pray for your speedy recovery and hope we may see an early end to challenges that Covid-19 pandemic represents as they pose a threat to every nation across the world”.
Chief Minister has thanked the His Holiness the Dalai Lama for his good wishes.
