After giving several hit songs like ‘Himachal Wali’, ‘Pehli Vaar’, Punjabi singer and lyricist Manavgeet Gill has come up with his new song ‘Raund’ which is currently creating a buzz among the audience. The lyrics for the song have been penned by Kanji Porh and the music has been composed by Hakeem. The video is directed by Xeta. The project is presented as an independent release in collaboration with Paris-based independent digital music distribution and artist services company Believe.
With a duration of about three minutes, the song’s video has been released on Manavgeet’s own Youtube channel. It shows Manavgeet entering a restaurant and a girl tries to impress him by offering him a rose, but he does not accept it saying ‘Vehliyan Ton Mile Na Gulab Jattiye Raund Leji Jine Marji’ (never accepted a rose from enemies but girl you could take countless gun shells with you).
Sharing about the song Manavgeet Gill said “We had planned this song during the lockdown and decided to release it near Valentine’s Day, but released it now. The best thing about the song is that it is fit to play on all the occasions. We received an overwhelming response from audience, and I hope people will continue enjoying it.”
The 23-year-old singer, who belongs to Mohali further said, “I was not blessed with a good voice but started singing and writing. I believe in hard work and keep working dedicatedly on my projects”.
Shilpa Sharda – Director – Artists Services – Believe India commented, “We are proud to associate with artists across India as demand for music across all languages continue to grow. India has always had a unique music landscape and I am glad we are able to service local, independent artists with tools created specifically for keeping their global reach and local needs in mind. Our intention is to reach every artist in every language in India as limiting to one or two key
languages would not be sufficient to leverage the unique representation of Indian Music.”
