Directs Comprehensive Health Check-Up for Students at Government School

Punjab Health and Family Welfare Minister, Dr. Balbir Singh, conducted a surprise inspection of the Aam Aadmi Clinic in village Chalela today. The visit was aimed at reviewing the quality and effectiveness of healthcare services being provided to residents in the surrounding areas.
During the inspection, Dr. Balbir Singh interacted with patients to understand their experience with the clinic, particularly regarding the availability of medicines and the quality of diagnostic services. Patients expressed satisfaction with the services offered, commending the clinic staff and the consistent availability of essential medicines.
As part of his visit, the Health Minister directed the clinic’s medical team to conduct regular health check-ups for students at the local government school. The check-ups will include assessments of height, weight, hemoglobin levels, and vision. Dr. Balbir Singh instructed that 20 to 25 students be examined each day, with proper record-keeping and a comprehensive report to be compiled upon the completion of the drive.
Dr. Balbir Singh also inspected the cleanliness of the clinic and its surroundings, and issued instructions to transform the adjacent vacant land into a park to enhance the local environment.
Reaffirming the Punjab Government’s commitment to accessible healthcare, Dr. Balbir Singh stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the state is dedicated to bringing quality medical services directly to people’s doorsteps. He emphasized that such surprise visits are essential to ensuring that healthcare initiatives are effectively reaching the public.
