Kapurthala, June 3:— Harkamal preet Singh Khakh has taken over the post of SSP Kapurthala today. He has replace Kanwardeep Kaur IPS, who has been posted by the Punjab Government as the first SSP of Malerkotla.
Earlier, Khakh was serving as Commandant, 7th Battalion, PAP and AIG Counter Intelligence, Jalandhar Zone.
He was presented Guard of Honor by a contingent of Punjab Police and was welcomed by senior police officials of the district.
SSP said that maintaining law and order, prevention of drugs and cracking down on drug traffickers as well as more serious service to the people in the fight against COVID would be his top priority .
SP Jasbir Singh, SP Vishaljit Singh, DSPs Surinder Singh, Sarwan Singh, Sarabjit Rai and other senior officers were present on the occasion.
