Move aimed at ensuring continuous promotions in every cadre of School Education Department: Education Minister

Redressing the old demand of the employees and officers of the School Education Department, School Education Minister Punjab Mr.Harjot Singh Bains today approved the formation of a separate promotion cell in the school education department of Punjab.
Mr. Bains said that ever since he took over the responsibility of the School Education Department, he has received maximum number of complaints from the employees and officers of the Education Department for not timely promotions.
He said that this promotion cell has been set up separately at the Office of Director Secondary Education Department, with Ms Reetu Bala Assistant Director as its incharge.
The Education Minister said that this cell will be responsible for the promotions of Teaching/Non Teaching from Group A to D which includes Master Cadre, Lecturer/Head Master promotion from Master Cadre, Lecturer/Vocational Master/Headmaster to Principal Deputy D.E.O. , Principal/Deputy DEO From Assistant Director/D.E.O., Assistant Director/D.E.O. From Deputy Director to Joint Director and Joint Director to Director of Elementary Education. Along with this cell will also look after the work related to seniority lists of all cadres, work related to preparation of roster register and follow up of court cases.
He said that Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Maan is working for the welfare of the students, as well working for the betterment of the employees.
