Known for giving super hit Punjabi songs such as Thokar, Juti Jharrke to name a few. Singer-songwriter Hardeep Grewal launched a new song ‘I Dont Know’ which is currently being lauded by audiences and fans alike and has surpassed 1.5 million plus views in just two days.
The lyrics for the song have been penned by Grewal himself and the music has been composed by Yeah Proof. The video is directed by Garry Khatrao and is presented by Believe Artist Services. With Grewal, Punjabi singer Gurlez Akhtar too has lent her voice.
The three minutes music video, that was released on Hardeep’s own Youtube channel, shows a romantic story of a couple in which they both are seen fighting with each other. Hardeep Grewal, who played the role of a boy, is trying to express his feelings with the girl that he always dreamt about her, whereas the girl is showing no interest in him. The girl is seen saying there are so many out who are dreaming about her.
While sharing about the song, Grewal said, “We had planned to release this song last year but due to lockdown, all our plans were postponed. I am thankful to the audience who is giving an overwhelming response to the song.”
Grewal entered Punjabi music industry in 2015, with his first debut ‘Thokar’ which was a super hit and got 100 million plus views on Youtube. Since then, he has given back to back hits like Aaja Zindagi, Platinum, 40 Kille, Juti Jharrke etc.
“I am from a non-musical background. I didn’t know anyone when I did my first song. However, my patience and passion towards singing brought me great success. I developed interest in singing when I was in Class XI and gave several performances at school functions,” Grewal said.
The singer has done his schooling from Sacred Heart Convent School, Jamalpur, Ludhiana. In 2013, he completed his M.Tech from Ramgarhia College, Phagwara. Later, Grewal joined as an assistant lecturer in a college. However, he left his job within 3-4 months and focused on singing.
Shilpa Sharda – Director – Artists Services – Believe India commented, “We are proud to associate with artists across India as demand for music across all languages continue to grow. India has always had a unique music landscape and I am glad we are able to service local, independent artists with tools created specifically for keeping their global reach and local needs in mind. Our intention is to reach every artist in every language in India as limiting to one or two key languages would not be sufficient to leverage the unique representation of Indian Music.”
