Since April, more than 200 youths have got jobs in the public works department
Chandigarh, December 20: Under the able leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to provide employment to the Youth of the state, the Punjab government has given 22,000 government jobs to the youth till date. Under this series, here today at Punjab Bhawan Public Works Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO gave government job appointment letters to 20 junior draftsman at Punjab Bhawan.
On this occasion Harbhajan Singh ETO disclosed that the present government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has provided government jobs to more than 200 youths in the public works department. The public works minister said that since April so far 22 jobs have been given in Group-A, 18 in Group-B and 103 in Group-C in the department. Apart from this on compassionate ground, 7 candidates in Group-C and 27 in Group-D have been given jobs. Under this series today 20 junior draftsmen have been given appointment letters today.
On this occasion, the Public Works Minister in his congratulatory message to the newly recruited youth urged them to serve the people with responsibilities and honesty. The Minister further said that the government led by Bhagwant Mann has adopted a zero tolerance policy against corruption any employee involved in such malpractices will not be spared.
On this occasion, apart from the Special Secretary of the Public Works Department Harish Nayar, other senior officers of the department were also present.
