Ghuggi shared valuable things about his relationship with books

Gurpreet Ghuggi, a popular personality from the film industry, attended the monthly event ‘Pustak Baithak’ of the Language Department, Punjab today and spoke highly of his relationship with books. During the discussion on the books read by the officers and employees of the department during this monthly event led by the Director of the Department, S. Jaswant Singh Zafar, Gurpreet Singh Ghuggi shared his experiences about connecting with the book culture. On this occasion, S. Zafar said that Gurpreet Ghuggi’s participation in the book meeting is like a compliment to him for his successful experience of connecting the officers and employees of the department with books.
He said that Ghuggi is among those personalities who have been reading books continuously since childhood. Due to which his acting, pronunciation and vocabulary are of very high quality and vast. On this occasion, Gurpreet Ghuggi, while interacting with the readers, said that he had grasped the meaning of ‘Vidya vichari taan parupkaari’ at a very young age. He got involved with books from childhood with the inspiration of his elder brother.
The conclusion was that there is nothing more powerful than knowledge and it always gives you fruit. He said that a book is made through creation and creation itself creates passion. S. Ghuggi said that before connecting us to the future, books also connect us to our proud and sacrificial history, which inspires us to move forward.
He said that we accumulate land and property for our children, but a wealth even greater than that is giving our children good morals, which can only be given through books. He said that he was initiated into acting after reading a book. During his school life, he read a play from his brother’s book and, with the encouragement of his school teachers, performed it himself along with his friends.
This first presentation filled him with self-confidence and he did the rest of the work with his dedication and hard work. He appreciated the efforts being made by the Language Department to promote book culture. On this occasion, Dr. Manjinder Singh Research Officer, Kiranjeet Kaur, Ankush Kumar, Gurmail Singh, Balvir Kaur and Vikas Kumar participated in the discussion. The department honored Gurpreet Ghuggi with a shawl and a set of books.
The stage was moderated by Research Officer Dr. Sukhdarshan Singh Chahal. Gurpreet Ghuggi also visited the library and computer wing of the department and appreciated the ongoing work. On this occasion, Additional Director of the department Harpreet Kaur, Deputy Directors Harbhajan Kaur, Chandandeep Kaur and Alok Chawla, Assistant Directors Amarinder Singh and Surinder Kaur were also present.
