Four death, 151 fresh Corona positive cases in Patiala district

Patiala , 21 Sep 2929-  Despite with recovery rate of 77 percent & death rate of 2.7 percent the infectious spread of dreaded Novel Corona Virus disease continous in Patiala district on Monday as four more patients includes two women have died with COVID-19 taking total tally to 282 and reporting of 151 new positive cases total of Corona patients in the district goes upto 10, 524.Whereas after winning fight against COVID-19 under ongoing “Mission Fateh” today 182 more patients were discharged from various covid care centers and isolation facility and sent home as they cured totally with this total number of cured patients have also gone upto 8,117, On the other hand number of active cases in the district shown an decrease as now it stood at 2,111.While providing details about it the Civil Surgeon, Dr. Harish Malhotra told late this evening here that today four patients admitted in various hospitals and undergoing medical treatments for their Chronic disease after gaining infection of Corona have died while struggling for life. The dead includes two women and out of these three were from Patialaand one from Rajpura. He added that the Last rites of the dead have been got performed strictly as per new COVIDZ-19 guidelines issued by the government. He said that after evaluating the present situation with reporting of no any fresh positive case the department has ordered withdrawal of micro containment zone area restriction from four places includes Street No. 9 of Gurbax Colony, Civil Lines quarters,  residential quarter’s of Chotti Baradari in Patiala  and Malarian Street in Nabha.Dr. Malhotra further told that reports of 1,600 samples were received today including two reports from PGI, Chandigarh and out of these151 found out to be positive.He said that out of these new 151 cases 74 came from Patiala,  23 from Rajpura,  4 from Samana, 6 from Nabha, 9 from block Bhadson, 5 from block Kauli, 6 from block Kalo Majra, 7 from block Harpalpur, 10 from block Dudhan Sadhan and 7 from block Shutrana. He said whereas 36 cases came from contact tracing of earlier positive cases and 115 cases came from containment zone areas and OPD’s with Flu Symptoms and now the shifting and admission of these cases in isolation facility of government Rajindra hospital here and in covid care centers and home quarantine is going on with tracing of contacts and sanitization of their respective areas too.The Civil Surgeon told that till a total of 1, 35, 833 samples were collected from the district and after testing these 1, 23, 918 samples found out to be negative, 10,514 positive, 8,117 cured, 2,111 total active cases and 282 total deaths in the district so far. He added that today teams of the department have collected 2,300 more samples in the district, whereas reports of 1,100 samples are still pending.
