Bathinda, September 10: Eight Covid-19 deaths and 147 new cases were reported from the Bathinda district on Tuesday even as 91 patients have been discharged from various hospitals in the last 24 hours. With this, the death toll has risen to 66. Taking the district total to 3802 about 1019 cases are active, and 485 cases have been shifted to other districts. 2232 petients have been cured and discharged. The Deputy Commissioner B Srinivasan informed that sincere efforts are being made to keep people safe from COVID-19. He said that 147 new patients have tested positive in last 24 hours’ time. He further said that till date, a total of 43800 samples have been taken in the district under COVID-19, out of which a total of 3802 positive cases have been reported, out of which 2232 Corona victims have recovered and returned home. A total of 1019 cases are active in Bathinda and 485 cases have been shifted to other districts besides 66 Corona affected persons have died in the district so far. The Deputy Commissioner further said that in the last 24 hours, 1044 negative and 91 corona affected patients returned home after recovery.
