Inaugurates administrative block at Medical Education Bhawan
Mohali, November 02,2021 -Medical Education and Research Minister Punjab, Dr. Raj Kumar Verka has announced to fill all the posts of class C&D in medical education and research department on the permanent bases. He said that contract system will be abolished.
Addressing the senior officers and employees of the department at the Medical Education Bhawan, Dr. Verka said that all the vacancies of class C and D including nursing will be filled in the department and an advertisement will be issued soon in this regard. He also announced to make Punjab a model state in the field of health education and research. He said that every effort will be made to implement all the ongoing projects in the health sector.
Dr. Verka said that medicine and education are important for any society and Punjab government is doing every effort to provide better health care facilities in the state. He said that all the shortcomings in the field of medical education and research will be rectified to provide better health facilities to the people. He appealed to all the employees to work with dedication, honesty and determination to take medical education to new heights. Dr. Verka said that various projects are going on in three Government Medical Colleges Amritsar, Patiala and Faridkot to uplift the standard of medical education. In addition, Dr. BR Ambedkar State Institute of Medical Sciences Mohali, Shaheed Udham Singh State Institute of Medical Sciences Hoshiarpur and Sri Guru Nanak Dev State Institute of Medical Sciences Kapurthala are also being set up.
Earlier, Dr. Verka reviewed the functioning of the department and inaugurated the administrative block at Medical Education Bhawan. The offices of the medical education and research minister and principal secretary have been set up in this block.
Former minister Mr. Balbir Singh Sidhu and principal secretary education and research Mr. Alok Shekhar also addressed the gathering on occasion . Additional secretary Rahul Gupta, Dr. Arshdeep Aggarwal and Dr. Avnish Kumar was also present on this occasion.
