CHANDIGARH/KHANNA, August 7:
With an aim to develop a robust Police infrastructure as per the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab Gaurav Yadav on Monday inaugurated a slew of development projects in Khanna during his visit to the police district to review law and order situation. The projects include the building of Police Station City-1 Khanna and a state-of-the-art Conference Hall.
While chairing the law and order review meeting with the officers of Ludhiana Range, the DGP shared various security alerts and inputs with them. Inspector General of Police Ludhiana Range Dr Kaustubh Sharma, SSP Khanna Amneet Kondal, SSP Ludhiana Rural Navneet Singh Bains and SSP SBS Nagar Dr Akhil Chaudhary attended the meeting.
He asked all the police officials to stay alert and intensify police patrolling in the wake of Independence Day.
DGP Gaurav Yadav said that with the inauguration of this conference hall, GOs and NGOs posted in the District can hold various seminars, meetings and events in the interest of raising the standard of work of the Police Department. The state-of-art conference hall is well equipped with the latest technology like projectors & LED screens, he added.
He also threw open the building of the Police Station City-1 Khanna to the public. The newly constructed Police station is equipped with the latest infrastructure and resources with a view to facilitating police work.
Later, DGP Gaurav Yadav honoured high-performing Police officials and personnel of Ludhiana Range with the DGP Commendation Discs and CC-1 certificates to encourage and motivate them to perform their duties efficiently.
