Chandigarh, June 15, 2026:Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Monday felicitated successful candidates of the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2025, praising them for bringing pride to the state and reinforcing the growing strength of Punjab’s education system.
Addressing the achievers during the ceremony in Chandigarh, the Chief Minister said that it is a matter of immense satisfaction that young men and women from ordinary families are securing some of the most prestigious positions in the country through determination, discipline, and hard work. He noted that their success reflects both personal dedication and the positive direction in which the state’s education ecosystem is moving.
He added that Punjab’s youth are consistently proving their capabilities in highly competitive examinations, demonstrating that talent exists in every household when given the right opportunities and support.
Highlighting the strong performance of female candidates, CM Mann said that daughters are excelling in every field and are emerging as role models for society. He described their achievements as a powerful symbol of women empowerment, stating that equal access to education and opportunity enables young women to outperform expectations and reach the highest levels of public service.
He said the consistent success of girls in competitive examinations is not only a matter of pride for families but also for the entire state, as it reflects changing social dynamics and increasing educational participation among women.
Reaffirming the government’s focus on education, the Chief Minister said that the Punjab Government is committed to strengthening government schools, improving infrastructure, and modernizing teaching methods to ensure quality learning outcomes for every child.
He emphasized that education remains the strongest tool for social and economic transformation and that the government is working to ensure equal opportunities for students regardless of their economic background.
“Our goal is to ensure that every child in Punjab gets access to quality education and a fair chance to succeed in life,” he said, adding that efforts are underway to continuously upgrade the education system across the state.
Interacting with the newly selected officers, CM Mann said their achievement should serve as an inspiration for other aspirants across the state. He expressed confidence that they would serve the nation with honesty, dedication, and integrity.
He also encouraged parents to recognize the individual strengths of their children and support their aspirations rather than imposing career choices. According to him, nurturing talent with encouragement and freedom is key to unlocking true potential.
The Chief Minister further said that such successes are not isolated events but part of a broader trend that will continue in the coming years as more youth from Punjab rise to top administrative positions.
While congratulating the officers, CM Mann advised them to remain grounded and humble despite their success. He urged them to continue working with dedication and to remember that public service is rooted in serving people, especially the underprivileged sections of society.
“True success lies in how much positive change you bring to people’s lives,” he said, encouraging them to use their positions responsibly and meaningfully.
He also reiterated that the ultimate goal of governance is public welfare and that civil servants must remain committed to that principle throughout their careers.
Punjab Chief Secretary KAP Sinha and several senior officials were also present on the occasion.
The event concluded with congratulatory remarks from the Chief Minister, who extended best wishes to all newly selected officers and expressed hope that they would continue to bring pride to Punjab through their future contributions to the nation.
