Another elderly patient fell prey to coronavirus on Friday while the city reported 24 new cases of the pandemic. The death in UT now stands at 338 while the caseload has climbed to 21,060.
There are as many as 187 active cases of coronavirus in the city.
According to a media bulletin issued here, a 72 year old COVID positive female R/o Manimajra, a case of Hypertension and Type-1 Respiratory Failure, has expired at GMCH-32.
The new cases of coronavirus have been reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
Meanwhile, a total of 23 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
