Chandigarh, February, 242021:The CCTV Surveillance System at ISBT 43 and ISBT 17 inaugurated by Mandip Singh Brar, IAS, Secretary Transport, today in presence of Uma Shankar Gupta, Director Transport, .Amit Gupta and Yashjeet Gupta, General Managers.
Tender for CCTV Surveillance System was awarded in the month of October, 2020 at the cost of Rs. 1.32 Crores. Total 227 cameras are installed under the project, out of which 95 cameras are installed at ISBT 43 and 132 cameras are installed at ISBT 17.
The CCTV system has capacity to store video recording for 40-45 days. Dedicated control rooms have been setup at both ISBTs to ensure real time monitoring of the activities at the ISBTs.
The CCTV surveillance system will contribute towards better monitoring in order to effectively manage the ISBT operations besides controlling anti social activities and thereby ensuring enhanced safety for the approximately 1.5 lakh commuters visiting both ISBTs every day.
