Chandigarh.3 October,2020:The Chandigarh Administration started Help Desk to monitor covid positive patients who have opted for home Isolation and also to address to the queries of the general public .
This Help desk has been set up at CHB and working 24 by 7 where the staff and doctors call all the patients on Home Isolation and advice them regarding the safety measures and the medicines to be taken .
The patients are also explained about the signs and symptoms that need immediate attention. Dr Amandeep Kang, Director Health Services to have a first hand account of the working of the medical staff today made a surprise visit at the Help Desk along with the MS and DMS of GMSH , Sector 16 . She interacted with the COVID patients on Home Isolation and also enquired about their well-being . She sought their feedback regarding the visit of the Health workers to their homes and the interaction with them . She stressed upon the doctors to be compassionate and more vigilant especially with the elderly and patients with Co-morbid conditions. She stressed upon the staff to be prompt in shifting patients to the hospitals from home whenever the need is felt so that the are attended in time and also to decrease the mortality .
