Chandigarh, May 4
Chandigarh recorded 11 more deaths and as many as 780 fresh cases of coronavirus during the past 24 hours on Tuesday. The number of active cases of the infection has risen to 8170.
With this, the death toll has increased to 518 while the caseload has risen to 45,876.
According to a media bulletin issued here by the Administration, the 11 victims of the infection were in the age group of 37 and 94 years. The new cases of coronavirus were reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
Meanwhile, a total of 542 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
