Dr. S. Karuna Raju announced the winners of write-up competition
Lakhwinder Singh, Government Senior Secondary School Bal Sarai, District Amritsar bagged the 1st Position

To recognise the immense contribution of teachers in the electoral process, the Chief Electoral officer (CEO), Punjab commemorated the Teacher’s Day in a befitting manner.
On this Occasion a Facebook live event was organized today at 12.00 Noon, which was widely watched by the entire teaching community, election officials comprising of Election Tehsildars, Election Kanungos and District SVEEP Nodal officers.
While preside over the event Dr. S. Karuna Raju, IAS, Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab congratulated the teaching community and all the departments of education- school, colleges, technical institutes which are always part of election team. He announced the District level and State level winners of write-up competition, which was organized for teachers in all the 22 districts on three topics related with election experience sharing, challenges during Covid-19 election duty and suggestions to make elections duty pleasant. A total of 646 entries were received at district level. Out of the best entries of all 22 districts 3 top entries were chosen for cash prize and certificate of merit at State level.
Mr. Lakhwinder Singh, Government Senior Secondary School Bal Sarai, District Amritsar bagged the 1st Position while Mr. Jaswant Rai, Government Senior Secondary School Nasrala, District Hoshiarpur remain 2nd and Mr. Narinder Singh, Government Senior Secondary School Bhaini Bagha, District Mansa came 3rd in write-up competition.
In addition, Sh. Gurbakshish Singh, Lecturer, Government Polytechnic College for Girls, District Patiala bagged the best position amongst the district SVEEP Nodal Officer.
Mrs. Madhvi Kataria, IAS Additional Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab expressed deep gratitude to the teaching community for their vital role in making our democracy strong.
