Chandigarh, October 20, 2020: Punjab chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh today moved a resolution in Vidhan Sabha rejecting the three new farm laws and introduced three Bills to nullify farm laws. He said the new farm laws were against the interests of the farmers and landless workers.
CM introduced the following three Bills to counter farm laws:
1. The Farmers Produce Trade And Commerce (Promotion And Facilitation) Special Provisions And Punjab Amendment Bill, 2020.
2. The Farmers (Empowerment And Protection) Agreement On Price Assurance And Farm Services (Special Provisions And Punjab Amendment) Bill, 2020.
3. The Essential Commodities (Special Provisions And Punjab Amendment) Bill, 2020.
He also proposed Electricity (Amendment) Bill 2020. Punjab Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal also moved a Bill to amend the Civil Procedure Code.
