– 7 accused arrested in various 6 cases and 210kg Poppy Husk along with Truck & Motorcycle, 750 Intoxicant Pills along with Motorcycle and 31 Bottles of Liquor recovered
Mansa, 07 September: Mansa Police is nabbing drug peddlers on a regular basis, in this series Mansa Police booked 7 persons in 6 various cases. Mansa police recovered 210 kg Poppy Husk along with Truck & Motorcycle, 750 Intoxicant Pills along with Motorcycle and 31 Bottles of Liquor from these accused. Case has been registered and further investigation is being conducted.
SSP Mansa, Sh. Surendra Lamba, IPS told press that Police Party of Police Station Bhikhi was on routine patrol duty, police party stopped a Truck and searched as per law, police party recovered 10 bags of Poppy Husk total 200 kg Poppy Husk. Then Police party nabbed the accused Kamikar Singh S/o Jeet Singh r/o Gurne Khurd and Janta Singh S/o Gurnam Singh R/o Jharon (Sangrur). On the initial investigation accused disclosed that this Truck’s owner is Sandeep Kumar @ Sunni S/o Shiv Kumar R/o Budhlada, this Poppy Husk is belongs to Sandeep Kumar and Sukhpal Singh R/o Gandua. On this police party registered a case at PS Bhikhi under NDPS Act and recovered contraband and Truck No: RJ19GA-5579 took in possession. Sandeep Kumar and Sukhpal Singh is yet to be arrested. Both arrested accused will be presented to court and police remand will be sought, further investigation will be conducted. Police Party of PS Bareta nabbed the Shinderpal Singh S/o Ladha Singh R/o Saidewala and Swaran Singh S/o Karnail Singh R/o Reond Kalan with Motorcycle No: PB 31H-3688 and recovered 10 Kg Poppy Husk, Accused Shinderpal Singh is already involved in 3 cases and Swarn Singh is also involved in one case of NDPS Act. Both arrested accused will be presented to court and police remand will be sought, further investigation will be conducted. Police party of PS City Budhlada nabbed Gurjeet Singh @ gippi S/o Hans Raj R/o Rampur Mander along with Motorcycle and recovered 750 Intoxicant Pills Marka Clovidol SR-100. Recovered contraband and motorcycle took in possession.
As it is Police party of PS Bareta nabbed Naib Singh s/o Ruldu Singh R/o Gandu Kalan and recovered 12 bottlers of licit liquor mark Sehnai (Hyn), Police party of PS Boha nabbed Hardeep Singh S/o Lekh Raj R/o Ramgarh Shahpuria and recovered 10 bottles of licit liquor Sehnai (Hyn), Police Party of PS Joga arrested Bhola Singh S/o Hazura Singh R/o Joga with 9 bottles illicit liquor.
SSP Mansa further added that the special campaign against drug smugglers will be continuing further. There will be Zero Tolerance against drugs smuggling in the district.
