Moga, July 26 ,2021 – Punjab Health and Family Welfare Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu today specially visited the Civil Hospital, Moga to inquire about the condition of the patients injured in the recent accident on Moga-Kot Ise Khan Road. During his visit, Dr Harjot Kamal, Darshan Singh Brar, Sukhjit Singh Kaka Lohgarh, Kulbir Singh Zira (All MLAs), Former Minister Malti Thapar, Former MLA Vijay Sathi, Deputy Commissioner Sandeep Hans, Harkesh Chand Sharma Political Secretary Health Minister Punjab and many other prominent personalities were also present.
Talking to reporters on the occasion, Sidhu said that the health department was fully ready to counter the third wave of Covid 19.
The health department has worked hard in this direction in recent times. Today, the department can handle 25% more patients than the first and second waves.
The number of beds in government hospitals is being increased. He said that 78 PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) plants were being set up in the state to alleviate the shortage of oxygen. Apart from this oxygen tankers are also being provided.
Talking to the patients, Sidhu said that the Punjab Government stood by the families of the victims in this hour of grief. He said that the Punjab Chief Minister had announced that the families of the deceased would be provided Rs. 5-5 lakh, the injured Rs. 50,000 each and free treatment.
Regarding the loss of life in the accident, he said it was an unfulfilled loss. It cannot be fulfilled but they are always standing by to give relief to the families in this grief.
On this occasion, he directed the health department to make all possible efforts for the speedy recovery of the patients undergoing treatment.
