Cabinet Minister Ms. Anmol Gagan Mann today conducted a surprise check of the mining plot at Abhipur village of Kharar, district SAS Nagar . On this occasion, signs of fresh mining were found at various places at the mining site on which the minister took strict notice and issued orders to the officers of the mining department to investigate this mining and take strict action against the guilty.
Giving more information, Minister Ms. Anmol Gagan Mann said that she had received the information that illegal mining was going on at village Abhipur, on which she immediately took action and along with mining officers and police officers and checked the mining site. She said that during the raid, some machinery related to the mining and signs of fresh mining were found. She said that the officials of the mining department have been instructed to prepare and submit a report immediately in this regard. She said that on the receipt of the report, if anyone is found guilty, he will be brought under the ambit of the law and strict action will be taken.
She said that the Punjab government is committed to provide a clean and corruption-free administration to the people. She said that illegal mining will not be tolerated at any cost. She said that the culprits involved in illegal mining, no matter how influential they are, will be brought under the ambit of the law and strict action will be taken.
Apart from this, she said that if any government official is found involved in illegal mining, he will be dealt strictly.
