Wave of Development Delights People in Sri Anandpur Sahib Constituency

Nangal, October 4:
Continuing the wave of development in his constituency, Punjab Cabinet Minister for School Education and Information & Public Relations S. Harjot Singh Bains today laid the foundation stone for a 333-meter-long bridge over the Sutlej River at Kalitran, to be constructed at a cost of ₹20.77 crore. On October 7, marking Valmiki Jayanti, another bridge costing ₹11.23 crore will be inaugurated at Plassi.

To connect these bridges, 11 kilometers of 18-foot-wide roads will be constructed at a cost of ₹13 crore, significantly reducing travel time between remote areas. Earlier, on October 2, S. Bains laid the foundation stone for a 511-meter-long high-level bridge at Bhallari, worth ₹35.48 crore.

Addressing a large and enthusiastic gathering during today’s grand event, S. Harjot Singh Bains, who also heads the departments of Information & Public Relations, Technical Education & Industrial Training, Higher Education, and School Education, said that the Punjab Government’s top priority is to deliver quality infrastructure and essential amenities to every region of the state. He emphasized that such development projects not only improve connectivity and transportation but also enhance the overall standard of living of the people.

Bains further stated that these projects are part of a broader vision to transform Sri Anandpur Sahib into a model constituency, marked by modern infrastructure, improved connectivity, and sustainable growth. The event saw the presence of a large number of local residents, community leaders, and officials, who warmly welcomed the Minister and expressed gratitude to the government for the rapid pace of development in the region.
