Ferozepur, August 21, 2020: The positive cases reported in the district are 74 taking the total active cases tally now to 970.
As per the information, since the outbreak of corona, 1,497 positive cases have been detected so far and 970 are active, 507 are cured and 20 deaths including one today.
Among the fresh positive cases, 13 are new cases, 6 ILI, 4 PW, 32 frontline police officials, 2 frontline workers, 3 international travel history – Dubai, Australia and one is awaited, 15 are contact cases and one death.
As per the details of 27 Corona positive cases released so far, they are in the age group of 20-70 years from different stations and localities in the district – Hardassa village, Central Jail, Ferozepur Cantt, Saida Wala, Khatik Mandi Cantt, Kasuri Gate, Defence Colony, Housing Board Colony, Malwal Qdeem, Modi Mill Complex.
In view of the regular spike in cases in the state and in Ferozepur itself, the night curfew period has been changed to 7 pm to 5 am besides strict monitoring of wearing masks on the road.
Meanwhile, the district administration and health department has sought cooperation from the public in curbing the spread of coronavirus with advice to move out only in case of any emergency and that too by following the medical protocols to control the alarming situation of virus transmission.
