Chandigarh, May 10
UT recorded seven more deaths and 863 fresh cases of coronavirus on Monday. The number of active cases of the infection now stands at 8653.
With this, the death toll in Chandigarh has now climbed to 575 while the caseload has increased to 51070.
According to media bulletin, those who succumbed to coronavirus during the past 24 hours were in the age group of 48 to 80 years. The new cases of the infection have been reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
Meanwhile, a total of 714 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
