65 new COVID-19 positive cases in Patiala

Jagdeep Chopra,Patiala,  July  20-On Monday 65 new Corona positive cases were found and it took total number of patients to 1046. On the other hand 27 persons discharged from COVID Care centre after total curing so total number of cured persons also hone upto 421.The Civil Surgeon, Dr. Harish Malhotra giving details here Last this evening told that results of 420 samples were available today out of which 65 found out positive. He said that out of 65 positives 40 belonged to Patiala city  12 to Rajpura, Nabha and Samana one each and remaining to different villages. He said that shifting of these positive cases to various Care centers and sanitization of their respective sreas are underway. He said that tracing of their contacts is also on. He added that out of new positive cases 30 came from contact tracing from containment zones, five inter state travellers  and 30 new flu sumptom cases. He added that out of these two reports of positives were received from PGI, Chandigarh, two from Fortis hospital, Mohali and one from Max hospital from Mohali.Besides a 67 years old person belonged to Urban Estate here admitted into Fortis hospital with some other ailment but later detected Corona positive have died there as oer information from Mohali and it took total number of COVID-19 deaths in this district to 16.He said that so far an total of 35,997 samples were taken out of which 34 021 found out negative, with 1046  positive, 421 cured, 26 deaths and 609 active casesDr. Malhotra said that today 724 new samples were taken and now results of 840 samples are awaited.
