6 more death, 415 new COVID-19 cases in Ludhiana

There is no let up in Corona Virus cases in district. In last 24 hours, 415 persons were tested positive and 6 succumbed to infection. With new cases, the active cases in the district are 1938. Today, the health department has collected the samples of 5217 suspected persons. 
Civil Surgeon Dr Rajesh Kumar Bagga informed that a total of 136353 samples have been taken till date, out of which report of 134514 samples has been received and report of 1839 samples is pending. He said that 13860 persons have tested positive for Covid19 and 11342 were recovered.He said that unfortunately 6 people have died due to infection and till now 577 have lost their life.  He said that whenever District Administration and Health Department Ludhiana finds out that about any positive or suspected COVID 19 person, their samples are immediately sent for testing. Civil Surgeon appealed to the residents to follow all directions of the Punjab government and if they would stay indoors, they would not only stay safe themselves, but would also contribute in keeping everyone around safe.
