UT recorded five more deaths and 254 fresh cases of coronavirus on Monday. With this, the death toll has risen to 95 and case load to 8245.
According to a medical bulletin, a 20 days old baby r/o Colony No.4, a case of MODS and Sepsis, tested COVID positive, expired at GMCH-32 on Sunday. A 57-year old male r/o Sector 39, a known case of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertension, tested COVID positive, expired at PGIMER on Monday. A 69-year-old female r/o Mauli Jagran, a case of Diabetes Mellitus, tested COVID positive, has expired at GMSH-16 on Monday. A 77-year old male r/o Sector 15, tested COVID positive, expired at Shalby Hospital, Mohali last week. A 75-year old male r/o Sector 40, tested COVID positive, expired at Grecian Hospital, Mohali on Sunday.
Meanwhile, a total of 130 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
