Chandigarh, November 28
UT recorded four more deaths and 89 fresh cases of coronavirus on Saturday. With this, the death toll has risen to 274 and the caseload to 17,246. There are 1115 active cases of infection.
According toa medical bulletin issued here by the Administration, a 69-year-old male R/o Sector 20, a case of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, who tested COVID positive and expired at Alchemist Hospital, Panchkula. A 78-year-old male R/o Sector 34, a case of Acute Kidney Disease, Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertension, who tested COVID positive, expired at PGIMER.
The third case related to a 66-year-old male R/o Sector 46, a case of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertension, who tested COVID positive, expired at GMCH 32. And the fourth one related to a 71 year-old male R/o Sector 40, a case of Hypertension, who tested COVID positive and expired at GMCH 32.
New cases of coronavirus were reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
Meanwhile, a total of 160 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
