Confirming the worst fears of the UT Administration about the second wave of coronavirus due to the festive season, UT reported three more deaths and 115 fresh cases of the pandemic on Monday. With this, the death toll has risen to 237 and the caseload has increased to 15, 249. There as many as 902 active cases.
According to a medical bulletin, an 82-year-old male R/o Sector 21, who tested COVID positive, expired at Fortis Hospital, Mohali. A 72-year-old male R/o Sector 46, a case of Diabetes and Hypertension, who tested COVID positive, expired at GMCH 32. A 59-year-old male R/o Sector 63, a case of Diabetes Mellitus, who tested COVID positive, expired at Fortis Hospital, Mohali.
New cases of coronavirus have been reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
Meanwhile, a total of 86 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
