Chandigarh, December 4
UT reported three more deaths and 111 fresh cases of coronavirus on Friday. With this, the death toll has risen to 287 and caseload to 17, 828. There are as many as 928 active cases of the infection.
According to a medical bulletin issued by the administration, an 80-year-old female R/o Sector 20, a case of Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertension, who tested Covid positive and expired at GMCH 32. In the second case, an 85-year-old male R/o Sector 19, a case of Bilateral Pneumonia, who tested COVID positive and expired at GMCH 32. The third fatal case related to an 83-year-old male R/o Sector 21, a case of Diabetes Mellitus and Heart Disease, who tested COVID positive and expired at Command Hospital, Panchkula.
New cases of coronavirus have been reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
Meanwhile, a total of161 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
