286 more tested positive for Covid19, 15 died today

Ludhiana ,16 Sep 2020-As many as 286 persons were tested positive for Corona Virus and 15 succumbed to infection in last 24 hours in district. The active cases in the district have reached 1632.Today, the health department has collected the samples of 4969 suspected persons. Civil Surgeon Dr Rajesh Kumar Bagga informed that a total of 207382 samples have been taken till date, out of which report of 205139 samples has been received and report of 2243 samples is pending. He said that 14908 persons have tested positive for Covid19 and 12651 were recovered.He said that unfortunately 15 people have died due to infection and till now 622 have lost their life.  He said that whenever District Administration and Health Department Ludhiana finds out that about any positive or suspected COVID 19 person, their samples are immediately sent for testing. Civil Surgeon appealed to the residents to follow all directions of the Punjab government and if they would stay indoors, they would not only stay safe themselves, but would also contribute in keeping everyone around safe.
