231 Corona positive reported in Bathinda

Bathinda, August 21: The Deputy Commissioner B Srinivasan said that so far 30091 samples have been taken in the district under COVID-19 out of which a total of 1832 positive cases have been reported out of which 849 Corona victims have recovered and returned to their respective homes. He also informed that at present a total of 705 cases are active in the district and 255 cases have been shifted to other districts. In addition, 23 Corona affected people have died in the district so far. The Deputy Commissioner further said that in the last 24 hours, 231 positive, 260 negative and 53 corona patients returned home after recovery. The Deputy Commissioner appealed to the residents of the district to ensure that the instructions given by the government were followed in all the circumstances so that the campaign to defeat Covid-19 could be made a success. The Deputy Commissioner cautioned the residents of the district to ensure that everyone wears a mask to prevent the spread of the virus. Also keep a distance between them. Hands should be cleaned with sanitizer. He appealed to the elders and children to refrain from leaving their homes.
