On Tuesday, Corona Virus claimed life of 15 persons and 214 were tested positive. The number of active patients in the district are 1746 at present. Civil Surgeon Dr Rajesh Bagga informed that sincere efforts are being made to keep people safe from Covid 19. He said that 214 new patients have tested positive in last 24 hours time.
He further said that till date, a total of 124140 samples have been taken, out of which report of 123750 samples has been received, of 111727 samples is negative and report of 890 samples is pending. He said that 10436 persons have tested positive for Covid19 and 8261 were recovered.
He said that unfortunately 15 people have died due to infections and till now 426 have lost their life. He said that whenever District Administration and Health Department Ludhiana finds out that about any positive or suspected COVID 19 person, their samples are immediately sent for testing.
Civil Surgeon appealed to the residents to follow all directions of the Punjab government and if they would stay indoors, they would not only stay safe themselves, but would also contribute in keeping everyone around safe.
