208 more tested positive in Ludhiana, 5 died

Ludhiana 27 Aug-On Thursday, 208 more Corona Virus patients were reported in Ludhiana district and five people have lost their lives. In a little relief, the number of cases and deaths were decreased as compared to previous days. The number of active patients patients in the district is 2024 at present. Civil Surgeon Dr Rajesh Bagga informed that  sincere efforts are being made to keep people safe from Covid 19. He said that 208 new patients have tested positive in last 24 hours time.
He further said that till date, a total of 114981 samples have been taken, out of which report of 109736 samples has been received, of 99337 samples is negative and report of 5245 samples is pending. He said that 9427 persons have tested positive for Covid19 and 7050 were recovered.He said that unfortunately 5 people have died due to infections and till now 350 have lost their life.  He said that whenever District Administration and Health Department Ludhiana finds out that about any positive or suspected COVID 19 person, their samples are immediately sent for testing. Civil Surgeon appealed to the residents to follow all directions of the Punjab government and if they would stay indoors, they would not only stay safe themselves, but would also contribute in keeping everyone around safe.
