Chandigarh, November 22
UT reported two more deaths and 80 fresh cases of coronavirus on Sunday. This has taken the total number of deaths due to the pandemic to 260 and the caseload to 16,671. There are as many as 1094 active cases of the infection.
According to a medical by bulletin issued here by the administration, an 87-year-old male R/o Sector 8, a case of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertension, who tested COVID positive, expired at IVY Hospital, Mohali. In the other case, a 65 year old male R/o Sector 40, a case of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertension, who tested COVID positive, expired at GMCH 32.
New cases of coronavirus have been reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
Meanwhile, a total of 119 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
