There is not let up in deaths due to Corona Virus. On Wednesday, 16 persons died due to Corona Virus. 196 were tested positive. The number of active patients in the district are 1746 at present. Civil Surgeon Dr Rajesh Bagga informed that sincere efforts are being made to keep people safe from Covid 19. He said that 196 new patients have tested positive in last 24 hours time.
He further said that till date, a total of 125120 samples have been taken, out of which report of 123807 samples has been received, of 112056 samples is negative and report of 1313 samples is pending. He said that 10632 persons have tested positive for Covid19 and 8608 were recovered.
He said that unfortunately 16 people have died due to infections and till now 442 have lost their life. He said that whenever District Administration and Health Department Ludhiana finds out that about any positive or suspected COVID 19 person, their samples are immediately sent for testing.
Civil Surgeon appealed to the residents to follow all directions of the Punjab government and if they would stay indoors, they would not only stay safe themselves, but would also contribute in keeping everyone around safe.
