19 deaths,438 fresh Corona positive cases reported in Ludhiana district

LudhianaIn 15 Sep 2020- an alarming situation, 19 people died due to Corona virus and 438 were tested positive in last 24 hours in district Ludhiana. The situation is getting worse as more than one thousands patients were infected with virus in last 3 days only. The active cases in the district have reached 2022.Today, the health department has collected the samples of 4991 suspected persons. Civil Surgeon Dr Rajesh Kumar Bagga informed that a total of 202413 samples have been taken till date, out of which report of 200679 samples has been received and report of 1734 samples is pending. He said that 14622 persons have tested positive for Covid19 and 11990 were recovered.He said that unfortunately 19 people have died due to infection and till now 607 have lost their life.  He said that whenever District Administration and Health Department Ludhiana finds out that about any positive or suspected COVID 19 person, their samples are immediately sent for testing. Civil Surgeon appealed to the residents to follow all directions of the Punjab government and if they would stay indoors, they would not only stay safe themselves, but would also contribute in keeping everyone around safe.
