184 new Corona positives reported from Patiala district

Patiala,September  4.The spread of dreaded Novel Corona Virus disease  continous in Patiala district as on Friday 184 new Corona positive cases were reported in the district that took total to 6,876. Besides three deaths were also reported taking total.bumber of deaths to 182.Interestingly in the fight against Corona under ongoing “Mission Fateh” today 195 more patients were discharged and sent home after getting total curing and total of cured patients also gone upto 5,260. Whereas number of total active cases also touched 1,434.Whereas on dry day and anti-Dengue exercise teams of health department today checked 22,537 houses and mosquitos Larva was found in 184 houses and these were issued warning notices.Meanwhile , seeing an improvement in situation two micro- containment from Patiala’s Tej Bagh Colony and  Green Park areas were removed.While giving details the Civil Surgeon, Dr. Harish Malhotra told that today reports of 1,750 samples were received out of which 284 found positives these includes four reports from Ludhiana, 3 from SAS Nagar  2 from Sangrur and one from Fatehgarh Sahib.Providing further break up he added that out of new 184 positives 104 came from Patiala, 23 from Nabha, 19 from Samana, 13 from Rajpura and 25 from different villages. He said that in Patiala Nine positive cases were received from Central Jail. He said 52 cases came from contact tracing of patients and 127 came from containment zone areas and OPD’s with Flu Symptoms and their shifting and contact tracing is going on as per new guidelines issued by the government concerning COVID-19.He said that out of three deaths reported today one belonged to Rajpura, another to Nogawan village and third from Patiala’s Tawakli Mor area.He added that so far a total of 92 683 samples were collected and tested out of these 84,107 found out be negative, 6,876 positives, 182 deaths and 5,260 cured. He said that today 2,000 more samples were collected and sent into Lab for testing and reports of 1,500 samples are pending.
