12 more succumbs to COVID infection, 193 tested positive in Ludhiana

Though the Corona virus cases were decreasing in district as compared to previous days, but there is no end to deaths due to Covid19 infection. On Wednesday, 12 persons have died and 193 were tested positive.  The number of active patients patients in the district is 1990 at present. Civil Surgeon Dr Rajesh Bagga informed that  sincere efforts are being made to keep people safe from Covid 19. He said that 193 new patients have tested positive in last 24 hours time.He further said that till date, a total of 112601 samples have been taken, out of which report of 107914 samples has been received, of 97773 samples is negative and report of 4687 samples is pending. He said that 9219 persons have tested positive for Covid19 and 6881 were recovered.He said that unfortunately 12 people have died due to infections and till now 345 have lost their life.  He said that whenever District Administration and Health Department Ludhiana finds out that about any positive or suspected COVID 19 person, their samples are immediately sent for testing. Civil Surgeon appealed to the residents to follow all directions of the Punjab government and if they would stay indoors, they would not only stay safe themselves, but would also contribute in keeping everyone around safe.
