11 died due to Covid19 infection, 119 more tested positive

Ludhiana 28 Aug-As many as 11 persons have died due to Corona Virus and 119 more pattients were tested positive on Friday. In a little relief, the number of cases and deaths were decreased as compared to previous days. The number of active patients in the district is 1812 at present. Civil Surgeon Dr Rajesh Bagga informed that  sincere efforts are being made to keep people safe from Covid 19. He said that 119 new patients have tested positive in last 24 hours time.He further said that till date, a total of 117290 samples have been taken, out of which report of 114979 samples has been received, of 104444 samples is negative and report of 2311 samples is pending. He said that 9546 persons have tested positive for Covid19 and 7370 were recovered.He said that unfortunately 11 people have died due to infections and till now 361 have lost their life.  He said that whenever District Administration and Health Department Ludhiana finds out that about any positive or suspected COVID 19 person, their samples are immediately sent for testing. Civil Surgeon appealed to the residents to follow all directions of the Punjab government and if they would stay indoors, they would not only stay safe themselves, but would also contribute in keeping everyone around safe.
