10 deaths, 195 tested positive for COVID in Ludhiana

Ludhiana,25 Aug-On Tuesday, ten persons have died due to Covid19 infection and 195 patients have tested positive for Corona virus. The number of active patients patients in the district is 2052 at present. Civil Surgeon Dr Rajesh Bagga informed that  sincere efforts are being made to keep people safe from Covid 19. He said that 195 new patients have tested positive in last 24 hours time.He further said that till date, a total of 109651 samples have been taken, out of which report of 105729 samples has been received, of 95795 samples is negative and report of 3922 samples is pending. He said that 9026 persons have tested positive for Covid19 and 6638 were recovered.He said that unfortunately 10 people have died due to infections and till now 333 have lost their life.  He said that whenever District Administration and Health Department Ludhiana finds out that about any positive or suspected COVID 19 person, their samples are immediately sent for testing. Civil Surgeon appealed to the residents to follow all directions of the Punjab government and if they would stay indoors, they would not only stay safe themselves, but would also contribute in keeping everyone around safe.
